Whatsapp to get an update soon

WhatsApp hasn't been updated since ages, but the beta version of it was getting updates consistently. And according to a Reddit user, the update will be go live soon (No ETA). But the features of the latest update are revealed and they are very interesting.

1. The Update will be only for Windows Phone 8.1 (taking advantage of the new update)

2.Ability to Archive messages. You can now move your important chats to archive. But you can still email chat history from the contacts page of the user.



3.  Send Custom Location : Now you can send via chat a different location than the one you are at. For example, to tell a person where to meet.

4. Edit Photos : Crop, Rotate and add captions (this was supposed to come in an older update, but somehow missed out)



5. Smaller fonts and better high-res screen support

6. Individual Chat Backgrounds (finally!): This says it all

7. Fixes and fixes and more fixes : The bug where a noise came from the speaker when WhatsApp chat was opened is told to be fixed
